One of those days…

Boy, friends.  Today is shaping up to be one of those days.  I know I should be thankful for my health, my job, etc… and I am… but, even if they’re first world problems, they’re my problems… and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed today.

I don’t even know what I’m hoping to accomplish by whining on WP this morning… I think maybe just word vomit to get it out of my system.

Anyway, thanks for listening (reading?)… I appreciate it.

Anyone else have something to get off their chest?  Good news is definitely welcome. ♥

  1. Hey, first world problems are still problems. They cause stress just the same as other problems, and ultimately it’s about how much stress we have and how effectively we’re able to manage it, right?
    Let’s see…good news….
I’m just finishing making (what I hope is) an adorable graphic for a reading challenge I’m planning on hosting….My little boy turned two this week….North and South Korea have agreed to march beneath a single flag at the Olympics….And you’re brave enough to admit that you’re life isn’t perfect and that you, like the rest of us, have struggles that you’re working through.

    1. Thanks! I needed a bit of perspective and your spread of good news is awesome. I’m intrigued about your reading challenge to come, and happy birthday, little Rogers! I also drove around at lunch listening to Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 which is angsty and angry and awesome. Maybe today can turnaround yet. Thanks again!

  2. Sorry to hear you’re feeling blue, Michelle. I don’t have any cheery news to share, but I am going to make myself a fresh latte – my solution to most doldrums. Do something wonderfully nice for yourself. Sending hugs. ❤

    1. A fresh latte sounds delicious! I just need to get my head on straight and let the work stuff roll off my back. I usually do well with that, but today just seems harder. BUT, I found out this afternoon that I was auto-approved by a publisher on NetGalley and one of my short stories/flash fiction featured on another blog in a few weeks, so I’d say my day is looking up. Thanks for the hugs!
